Our nationwide courier services are designed for business. Whether it's a single urgent delivery, a multi-drop route or regular courier contract runs, we allocate the right vehicle and driver for each job. Every van courier job starts with the right vehicle. We provide the right-sized vehicle for your consignment, from a small van to a 26-tonne lorry, with tail-lift and curtain-side options. Not sure which you need? Our team will recommend one when you book.
Pallet counts are based on standard UK pallets (120 × 100 cm) unless Euro (120 × 80 cm) is shown. Figures are a guide. Our network covers many makes and models, so load space and payload vary slightly between vehicles. Tell us your item sizes and weight when you book, and we'll confirm the right vehicle.
Large Item Courier and Same Day Pallet Delivery
Parcel networks limit the size and weight of each item, but at NCD we're only limited by the vehicle's payload. This makes our service ideal for large items such as machinery parts, display stands, shopfittings and exhibition kit that simply won't fit in standard parcel services.
For same day pallet delivery, an SWB van takes 2 pallets, a Luton 4, a 7.5-tonne lorry 10–12 and a 26-tonne lorry up to 18. We also offer tail-lift vehicles for sites without a forklift, making loading and unloading larger items simple and safe.
Measure each item including its pallet, packaging and any overhang, and add up the total weight. A vehicle's pallet count doesn't override its payload limit.

Loading and Tail Lifts
Tell us if there's a forklift, loading bay or help at both ends. Tail lifts are available on suitable Lutons and lorries. Luton tail lifts take 400–500 kg per lift (per pallet or item); larger lorry tail lifts are confirmed when you book. The vehicle's total payload limit still applies.

Access and Timing
Check height, width and weight restrictions, opening hours and unloading space at both ends. Tell us when the goods will be ready and the delivery deadline.
